Age is Just a Number
Well, this week saw the more adventurous Old and Bolders make the trip to play at Aphrodite Hills. Many thanks to Bill Ferguson for arranging it all and I am sure a good day was had by all attendees. Next week will see the regular meet back at Episkopi. As well as the golf it will be the annual bring and win competition. To take part just come along with a present in the range of approx 5 – 10 euros, wrapped and preferably with a bit of humour attached. Selection of the prizes will go from the winner down. Don’t be an old scrooge take part..it’s fun honestly.
Now onto this weeks golf.....In sixth place not good enough to get a mention is......In fifth but just doing enough to get his name up in lights but winning no prize for a solid 35 points was Blue Turnpenny, who looked like he had swallowed some radioactive material in his luminous green outfit. In fourth place losing on countback with 36 points was Steve Bishop.. In third also on 36 points was Rob Cowin. In the runners up slot playing off his 8 hcap was Willie El Fakir with an outstanding knock of 39 points, but that pails into insignificance to the 41 points Mike Farmer achieved playing off of his girlie handicap of 26. Enjoy your meal Mr Chairman. However, it was a very steady round and should have been more points. Excellent food, drink and money rebates were enjoyed by all in the tavern afterwards, with many commenting that we should do it again before the refurbishment is finished.
Happy golfing everybody and hope to see you all soon...
